This ted talk got my attention because I thought it was very interesting to see how social life can extend life expectancy. The title seemed far fetched and that's what caught my attention and why I clicked on it. Susan Pinker starts off with some facts on women and men and there life expectancy.
Which then leads into her argument what made me believe her argument were the facts she used to make her point.
She points out that in this village she visited that people there when they aged they don't go to live solitary lives or sent a way to nursing homes but they always stay with family members or loved ones to look after them. She learned that having interactions with people releases a lot of neurotransmitters that help you protect you in the present and future.
This relates to the American dream because this ted talk gives you better chance of getting to your dream or living your dream longer and knowing how to extend your life and what ways are healthy for you.
